Recreation Activities at Green Valley Resort
Besides the activities at the Green Vallet Resort, the St. George area has numerous recreational experiences for children and adults alike. Southern Utah is home to numerous national and state parks, miles of scenic hiking, and year round golf and tennis. Green Valley is the perfect base camp to explore and play.

High Desert Hiking
Aside from
the guided hikes that Green Valley Resort offers, there are a vast amount of trails you can explore on your own. Zion National Park lies only 45 minutes east of Green Valley Resort, and Snow Canyon State Park (pictured left) is only minutes from your accommodations.
Bryce and the Grand Canyon National Parks are only three hours from St. George and offer some of the worlds most scenic wonders.
If you’re up for some exploration, you’ll find petrified dinosaur tracks or Anasazi Indian petroglyphs. We can help point you in the right direction.

Rock Climbing
Southwestern Utah represents what may be the greatest variety of rock climbing opportunities in the country. Scattered among almost 50 areas are over 1500 established routes, all of them in the midst of such profound and diverse beauty, it seems impossible that they are actually in the same state.
With over 300 days of sunshine a year, mild winter temperatures, high altitude routes to beat the summer heat, as well as environments from desert to alpine, there simply isn't a better place to be a climber. Mountain biking is a fantastic way to experience the high desert backcountry, as you tear through miles and miles of off-road trails, through breathtaking glens and slickrock hills.
Green Valley will be your guide through the seemingly endless expanses of mountain trails that Southern Utah offers. We’ll arrange your bike rental, help you outfit for the experience, and lead you through the level of terrain you’re most comfortable with. |

Golf
St. George's mild winter climate allows for year round golf. There are more courses per square mile in Southern Utah than anywhere in the country. We can arrange tee times for our guests as well as reccommend courses for beginner and experts alike.
The Green Vally Golf Learning Center
Let the professional instructors of the Green Valley Golf Learning Center help you to understand the golf swing, learn the fundamentals of golf and why they are necessary to create a golf shot. At the Green Valley Golf Learning Center you will be taught in America's newest and largest indoor golf facility complete with hitting stations, indoor chipping, putting green, and private video analysis room. |

Tennis
Green Valley is one of the best places to improve your tennis game. Tennis Magazine consistently places Green Valley in the top tennis camps in the United States. Because of this, many guests combine their vacation with the opportunity to learn or improve their tennis game. Video Analysis of your stroke plus a low ratio of five players per coach guarantees a vast improvement in your game whether you are a beginner or a tournament player.
A variety of tennis options are available: adult and junior tennis camps, private and group lessons, match play, as well as an extensive tennis facility that includes 14 outdoor courts, 4 indoor climate controlled courts, practice lanes, clubhouse with tennis apparel, raquets, shoes, and racquet restring facility.

Skiing
Brian Head is Utah's highest-elevation resort, receiving over 400 annual inches of light Utah powder. The resort has 50+ runs for all ability levels, including an entire mountain dedicated to beginners and children. It features three terrain parks for varying ability levels, with more than 30 snow features, rails, fun boxes, and a half pipe (open when conditions permit). The Resort's lift-served Snow Tubing Park is the best in the region, with six lanes to choose from. Its like a giant frozen water slide! The Resort is located off Interstate I-15, adjacent to Utah's famous national parks. Experience your favorite Broadway musical in one of the most scenic outdoor amphitheatres in the country. Soaring redrock cliffs provide a stunning backdrop Tuacahn award winning shows. Ghost Towns
The ghost town of Grafton has been used as a set in many films, including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
Zion Canyon Cinemax
Zion Canyon Cinemax is a giant (7 story) screen film adventure. Offering two films at all times, we recommend Treasure of the Gods. This film will take you to places deep inside the secret canyons of Zion that you only wish you had the time or stamina to see in person.
Dining, Shopping & Sight-Sseeing
The city of St. George boasts a variety of movie theaters, dining experiences, art galleries, Mormon historical tours, and outlet shopping and malls. There are many fine gift and collectible/antique shops dotting this entire area. The southern Utah artists are some of the finest in the world and their works are often on display and available for sale in local galleries.
Adult Fun
If gambling, bright lights, and night life are your idea of a great time, you can hustle 30 minutes to Mesquite, Nevada. Four great casinos provide multiple gaming options, fine dining, buffets, live music, and dance clubs. Las Vegas is also only an hour and a half away. |
